Paul Salinas, M.D., F.A.A.N.S

Dr. Paul Salinas is a board-certified neurosurgeon with fellowship training in complex spinal disorders. A Dallas, Texas native, he returned to the area in 2009 to establish Frisco Spine, a multidisciplinary practice that integrates anesthesia pain specialists, neurophysiologists, neuroradiologists, neuroanesthesiologists, and outpatient physical therapy under one roof.

Dr. Salinas began his medical career after earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Houston Medical School in 2000. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2008. During his residency, he also completed an infolded fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2005. Seeking further specialization, he completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Institute for Spinal Disorders in Los Angeles in 2009.

With expertise in both minimally invasive and complex spinal surgeries, Dr. Salinas treats a wide range of conditions, including degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal deformities, and spinal tumors. He also specializes in the treatment of intracranial brain disorders, including brain tumors, hydrocephalus, and traumatic brain injuries. His use of minimally invasive and microscopic techniques allows patients to experience a quicker and smoother recovery.

Dr. Salinas is committed to providing patients with an accurate diagnosis and treatment options tailored to their needs. His philosophy emphasizes conservative approaches whenever possible, ensuring that patients receive the most effective non-surgical and surgical options to restore their quality of life. With multiple hospital affiliations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Dr. Salinas provides comprehensive neurosurgical care to his patients. He is in-network with most commercial insurance providers, as well as federal insurance programs, including Medicare and Tricare.
